A Little Bit Alexis

My name is Alexis. I am 24 years old as of two days ago. My favorite color is red. If I had to pick one thing to eat for the rest of my life it would be, hands down, pain au chocolat (healthy, I know). I rock climb, a lot. I’m also a professional musician. Now that you know a bit about me, let me tell you a bit about my blog.
I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. Writing is something I have always loved, but now that I’m not currently in school the longest writing projects I have these days are emails. Thrilling, am I right? I’ve had all of these ideas for pieces focusing on music or books or athletics or food and I don’t have anywhere official to put these ideas to paper… or to screen. So, here on The Fearless Berry Blog is where I’ll be talking and writing about anything and everything that fancies me.
It hasn’t been easy designing a website and blog, in fact it’s mostly just been incredibly frustrating. Throughout the building and design process I’ve had one thought running through my head: Just start, and keep going! My site is nowhere near complete, but it’s a starting point. As much as my site is a work in progress, so is my blog. I have so many ideas for different pieces that combine everything I love. I won’t give them all away now, you’ll just have to stick around and find out what they are!
Here are some more things about me so we can get to know each other. I play five instruments and I sing. I studied music performance in college, primarily on viola. I am proud to say I have mastered sourdough bread baking (yes, this is something I have picked up during this pandemic- who doesn’t love a quarantine hobby?). I love everything Marvel, especially Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. I am a huge fan of The West Wing and Schitt’s Creek. Oh, I should probably mention that my favorite musical artist is Taylor Swift. I also love Maggie Rogers, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Kelsea Ballerini, Hunter Hayes, and so many others. I love curating playlists with all my favorite songs to listen to while out running. I’m very much a cat person (but also love dogs). I have the sweetest grey cat, Misty. She’s 18 years old and thinks she’s a queen.
Well, I’ve talked a fair bit about myself now. Hopefully you feel like you know me a bit better. The internet told me I should give an overview of myself and talk a little about how my blog came to be. I took its advice because the internet never lies, right?? I hope you’ll come in and stay for a while. I wish I could offer you a cup of tea and a comfy place to sit, but the best I can do is a virtual hug! I’m so happy you’re here!
